About
HTIC 2027 LAAYOUNE, organized by Morocco Sim in partnership with the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Laayoune, is a leading international conference dedicated to healthcare simulation, medical education, innovation and patient safety. The event brings together educators, healthcare professionals, researchers, students, institutional leaders, and industry partners from the Arab world, Africa, and beyond.
The conference welcomes a multidisciplinary audience including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, biomedical engineers, simulation technicians, educators, researchers, students, universities, healthcare institutions, technology companies, and international scientific societies. HTIC 2027 LAAYOUNE promotes collaboration, innovation, networking, and the advancement of simulation-based education.
The scientific program of HTIC 2027 LAAYOUNE will include conferences, educational workshops, simulation activities and innovation spaces designed to promote hands-on learning, discussion, creativity, and professional development. The conference encourages submissions on healthcare simulation, educational innovation, patient safety, AI, immersive technologies, clinical reasoning, gamification, and the future of healthcare training.
More than a conference, HTIC 2027 LAAYOUNE represents a vibrant ecosystem of innovation, collaboration, networking, and educational transformation, reflecting Morocco Sim’s vision of shaping the future of healthcare education in the Arab world, Africa, and beyond.
General guidelines
HTIC 2027 LAAYOUNE educational workshops are designed to provide participants with immersive and interactive learning experiences aimed at strengthening knowledge, fostering deeper understanding, and enhancing practical and non-technical skills in healthcare simulation, medical education, innovation, and patient safety.
The scientific program of HTIC 2027 LAAYOUNE will feature educational workshops of 90-minute format (recommended) or a 3-hour format. Morocco Sim encourages educators, experts, institutions, and innovators to submit their educational workshop proposals before the submission deadline. Educational workshop proposals may be submitted in either English or French. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered for inclusion in the official program.
The facilitators agree that

All workshop facilitators must participate in HTIC 2027 LAAYOUNE.

Educational workshops should be planned for a minimum of 30 participants and must be proposed either in 90-minute format (recommended) or a 3-hour format.

Educational workshops proposals must be submitted as complete sessions and not divided into separate individual proposals.

A maximum of 2 facilitators is allowed per educational workshop.

Morocco Sim will offer complimentary conference registration and accommodation for facilitators of accepted educational workshops. Transportation expenses will remain the responsibility of the facilitators.

Technical guidelines

Each workshop room at HTIC 2027 LAAYOUNE will be equipped with a screen and/or smartboard and/or podium depending on the workshop space configuration.

Microphones will be available for facilitators when required.

Any specific audiovisual or technical requests must be communicated to the organizing committee in advance.

Facilitators are expected to bring their own laptops and any necessary adapters or cables, especially for Mac devices.

Facilitators are responsible for bringing all workshop-related materials, including an electronic copy of their presentation and any specific educational equipment needed for their educational workshop activities.

Wireless internet connectivity will be available throughout the conference venue.
Proposal guidelines

Workshop description: briefly explain the objectives, educational value, and relevance of the workshop to the selected topic(s).

Please also describe the workshop format, teaching methods, level of interactivity, and expected learning outcomes.

Learning impact statement: summarize the expected educational impact and added value of the proposed workshop.

Educational activities: indicate the number and type of educational activities included in the workshop.

Workshop facilitators: indicate the number of workshop facilitators. Please provide the full name, institution, country, and email address of each facilitator.

Social media statement: provide a short promotional statement about your workshop using a maximum of 120 characters for HTIC 2027 LAAYOUNE social media promotion. You are encouraged to include engaging keywords and relevant hashtags.
Proposal evaluation
All submitted educational workshop proposals will undergo peer review by the HTIC 2027 LAAYOUNE scientific committee, composed of national and international experts in healthcare simulation, medical education, innovation, and patient safety. Educational workshop proposals will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

Relevance of the educational workshop topic to the scientific themes and educational vision of HTIC 2027 LAAYOUNE.

Clarity and coherence of the educational workshop objectives and expected learning outcomes.

Level of innovation, originality, and educational added value of the proposed educational workshop.

Degree of interactivity, participant engagement, and active learning strategies integrated into the educational workshop.

Practical applicability and potential impact on healthcare education and professional practice.
