About

HTIC 2027 LAAYOUNE, organized by Morocco Sim in partnership with the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Laayoune, is a leading international conference dedicated to healthcare simulation, health sciences education, innovation, and patient safety. The event brings together educators, healthcare professionals, researchers, students, institutional leaders, and experts from the Arab world, Africa, and beyond. As part of its scientific program, HTIC 2027 LAAYOUNE invites researchers, educators, healthcare professionals, simulation specialists, and students to submit abstracts and share their research, innovative projects, educational experiences, and best practices with an international and multidisciplinary community.

Abstract submissions are welcomed across a broad range of topics related to healthcare simulation and health sciences education, including simulation-based education, patient safety, educational innovation, clinical reasoning, artificial intelligence, immersive and extended reality technologies, gamification, interprofessional education, assessment, faculty development, simulation center management, digital learning, research in simulation, and emerging approaches shaping the future of healthcare training.

Selected abstracts will provide authors with the opportunity to present their work, exchange ideas, receive feedback, build new collaborations, and contribute to advancing simulation-based education and patient safety across the Arab world, Africa, and beyond. More than a scientific meeting, HTIC 2027 LAAYOUNE offers a dynamic platform for knowledge sharing, research dissemination, innovation, and international collaboration. Submit your work. How to submit

To submit your abstract, please access the submission link and complete the online form, carefully following the instructions and submission guidelines provided. Abstracts may be submitted in Arabic, French, or English. Authors are required to complete all mandatory fields and provide the requested information about their abstract and authorship. Please review your submission carefully before final validation to ensure that all information is accurate and complete.

Evaluation and scoring

All submitted abstracts will undergo a scientific review process. Based on the evaluation, abstracts may be accepted for Oral Presentation, accepted for ePoster Presentation, or rejected.

The Scientific Committee will evaluate and score each abstract according to several criteria, including:

  • Relevance and significance: is the topic relevant, interesting, innovative, and/or important to healthcare simulation, health sciences education, innovation, or patient safety?

  • Scientific quality: are the objectives clearly defined and the methodology appropriate?

  • Results and conclusions: are the results relevant, and are the conclusions supported by the data presented?

  • Originality and innovation: does the work provide new knowledge, perspectives, approaches, or educational practices?

  • Clarity and structure: is the abstract clearly presented, well organized, and consistent with the required abstract format?

  • Language quality: is the abstract clearly and professionally written in the selected submission language (Arabic, French, or English)?

Copyright and publication of abstracts

  • Submission of an abstract implies that the work has been reviewed and approved by all listed authors and that the submitting author has obtained the necessary authorization from all co-authors.

  • The HTIC 2027 Scientific Committee reserves the right to make the final decision regarding abstract acceptance and the format of presentation, including Oral Presentation or ePoster Presentation.

  • By submitting an abstract, the authors authorize HTIC 2027 and Morocco Sim to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, archive, and communicate the accepted abstract for scientific and educational purposes, in print, electronic, digital, or online formats, including conference materials, websites, digital platforms, abstract books, and related scientific publications.

  • Selected abstracts will be published in a Special Issue of IHSES Insights in "Health Sciences Education and Simulation", the official scientific journal of Morocco Sim. Publication will be subject to the journal’s editorial requirements and policies.

  • Authors retain the copyright and moral rights to their work. Any subsequent reproduction or publication of an abstract already published in connection with HTIC 2027 should appropriately acknowledge its initial presentation and/or publication at HTIC 2027 LAAYOUNE.

  • Submission of an abstract constitutes acceptance of these conditions by the submitting author on behalf of all co-authors.
